We finally finished the Positron taskforce, recruiting new guards Blast Shield (kneeling), Mercy Bow (with torch) and Katie Storm in the process. Also pictured are Mr Invincible (stone tank) and Night Byte.
I'm now hoping to do the Synapse taskforce at about 1pm UK time this Sunday. This one is a lot more fun and gives two badges. Anyone interested reply here or give me a shout in Shades Alliance Chat (Romanov).

Hey Guards, my name is Clubber King. Apart from being the toughest man in an alternate Paragon City, I am a new recruit to Night Watch. I was brought to your Paragon City by Miss Teen and am honing my skills so I can take on my evil counterpart Clubber Bling.

But that's not important right now as I have something else on my plate and need your help. The hero Positron has asked me to put together a taskforce of the baddest muthas in Paragon. I will be taking care of business tomorrow (Sunday) at 2pm (UK time). There should be three spaces for anyone above level 10.
Just make sure it's me and not that handsome devil Clubber Bling as he has a habit of turning heroes into dead meat (I posted piccies of us both to help you)

Hero: A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life

So, if there's no one against these proposition, this is a center of culture and population belonging to brave people. Do someone have something different to say? Villains? What? City of Villains? What?

You have the Rogue Island to dwell (and that's to be seen in the future...). You have your murky lair to crawl back and lick your pawn from the last defeat.

GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS DOWN FROM ATLAS!

We're not going to leave you ruin our reality. And if we can we will jump to any other dimension to make every bad guy pay for his villanous action in the whole MULTIVERSE!

This is during the Rikti negotiator mission when Prime Paladin DINGED :-)))).
From left we have the man of the hour Prime Paladin, a fine SG ldr, next we have Miss Teen, she may be little but she packs a mighty punch & is also
one of our fine SG ldr's, next we have Sabrewulf, who joined us on this
memorable occassion. The big guy in the middle was the guy we had to rescue, he looks big enough to take care of himself. Next up is Lightnia, who is also a
ldr of the Night Watch & one of ARGOT angels along with Miss Teen & Fulgor.
Next is Cowboy Bob, who is settling in nicely to his new home with the
Night Watch. Next Is Mother's love, she looked after us all like mother's do :).
Then in the background we have Powerstone, he baffled them malta.
Unfotunately Skull bender, was out of this picture, but he is in the next.

This was the moment when Prime Paladin returned to Atlas & Miss Liberty,
where it all began for him, on this long journey.
He was joined by all the team from the mission, Skull bender is to the far right
& was great to team with him again.
It was a pleasure to have so many friends in this team to help him along his path
to greatness & finally take up refuge in the great 50 club.
Well done to a fine SG ldr & friend :)

To help me on the way to dinging :))))) were from left A fellow leader of the Night Watch & a good friend Prime Paladin who brought many a foe down with his trusty blade, then we have the lady of the hour, next is PLANETUS who did some good healing & holding :), next is Dark side who kicked some major butt.
Then we have EASYRIDER l who tanked his way through everything & last but by no means least is Parca who also tanked through the masses.

Silent days

Hi, Guards.

Here's ARGOT, founder and leader of the Night Watch.

It was more ore less one year ago when me and Prime Paladin founded the supergroup. Many things have happened since that cheerful day. Many heroes entered the NW, fought battles alongside me and the other Guards.
Some left the sg, creating new ones, others stayed with us to continue our duty. The sg have touched 60 active heroes in the best days, really few other groups can say the same. Now, with my long inactivity pauses, with many of our best reaching 50lvl and with some of them... falling to the darkside in the Rogue Island :) the sg is, we can say that, sleeping.

I must admit it's a little bitter, because it was so much better when we were all online and playing a lot. I can really remeber the fun of having 15-16 Guards, the Shield on our costume, fighting Luska or Paladin..

But it's life. It's perfectly normal. This is the dynamism of the game. Things changes. We adapts.

This are silent days for our beloved supergroup and I (but I suppose everyone) will not regret for anyone that leave us for more active supergroup or to create his own team of heroes. I'm playing a lot, compatibly with my busy life (shame on me, I've told this damn thing so many time that I find it hard to believe by myself, but it seems I've found some balance) and I wil NEVER leave the Night Watch. If you ever leave, please do not forget us. And if you find me online and wanna kick some criminal <$%&"£> with me just give me a call. The Night Watch will always be around for helping friends.

For those who stand the ground (or didn't find anything better than us to join :P) I'll not promise anything, apart from fun hours punching criminals and some good and fun line while doing that. I'll try to bring some pepper in the sg, some newcomers, maybe some TF all toghether... I'll, as always, do my best. I love this group. I'll never change that. You know, as I like to say, Guards...

while i was on last night nox and our newst member 2 the sg frighting banshee my bad if i spelt ur name wrong were talking about positron tf so came up with the idea of doing each tf evry week or month time 4 this 1 would be at 12 noon on sunday with a break about 1 so we can have lunch unless u have al rdy had it plus some 5 min or so breaks as well during the time so ppl can go do the toilet and have a smoke

Hi all, Guards.

The Watchtower, our base, is slowly growing. After a long time spent learning how to create it I'm building our office/secret base/hideout/headquarter. The base is free to be seen by any member of the Night Watch, right now no teammates nor coalition friend is allowed into, and the base is a very "work in progress" at the moment. Any comment on it is welcome, post it on the forum, I'll take care of doing the best I can to make it comfortable for all.

Three things:

- remember to use our costume as much as you can to get us Prestige to expand the base, you really cannot imagine what we can do with it... many objects are really expensive and useful (a Reclaimator for example will be operative in our Infirmary within days, so you can choose between hospital and base - I'll keep you in touch) but we can have things that boost our skills, we can make and defend from raids, we can store Trophies and Items of Power... it's important that every Guard give his contribution, but remember you'll not get Influence while wearing the SG insigna

- in the shortest time I can we'll have a Workbench in the base were all the Salvages you will find can be stored and used to create objects and repair destroyed tool after a raid... if we are not there to kick villanous butts before they can hit em!

- as soon as possible, compatibly with prestige, we'll have a wonderful Assembly Room to make our meetings! Remember you have to own a copy of CoV to enter the base, I hope this thing changes, but don't think so...

Guards, this is all. I'll be online as much as I can compatibly to my secret identity, don't spam me if I don't answer 'cause I'll probably been editing ;)

Yeah. These guys at NCsoft are doing great and now they got a new,fabolous website.First of all,you can send them pics of yourself to be in the HALL OF FAME. Second,can submit pics of Paragon itself or whatever in the new CITY SIGHTS section.Aaaaaand...ok here comes the big one,we can join the called FANSITE ALLIANCE. Looks cool,uh? The goods news are i send the submit for us and who knows? Maybe there will be a link to this,your, BLOG in the main COH website.YAY.

As you may or may not now, City of Villains will be unleashed just days from now. The Shades of Darkness are founding a supervillain group and we would like to invite all members of Night Watch to join us for some plotting, crime sprees and general mayhem.
Details about the group can be found by signing up to the Shades' forum or send a tell to the mastermind Romanov in game for a trial by fire. Just hope he is in a good mood.

Velvet Noir hits 50

Long time Night Watch associate Velvet Noir hit level 50 last night. She has been a fixture in Paragon City and helped many heroes whether they wanted it or not, and she deserves to finally be among the heroic elite.
The picture shows her receiving her status from Back Alley Brawler back in Galaxy City where it all began. Look closely and you can see Night Watch Captains Fulgor and Miss Teen there to cheer her on.

Powers - General

Added new inherent power to Defenders - Vigilance: As a Defender's teammates lose Health, the Defender gains an Endurance Discount.

Added Damage Resistance Inspirations (Reduces the damage you take from an attack). Drop rate for non-defensive Inspirations has not changed. 50% of defensive Inspirations that drop will be the old Defense (avoid getting hit) Inspirations, and 50% will be the new Damage Resistance Inspirations.

Made several changes to the Force Field powersets for Defenders and Controllers:Deflection Field now has Defense to Melee attacks, in addition to its old effects.Insulation Field now has Defense to Ranged attacks, in addition to its old effectsDispersion Bubble now has Defense to Area of Effect attacks, in addition to its old effectsSignificantly Reduced the Endurance cost of Force Bubble. Also, added a small chance to knock down foes.

Fixed runspeed buff duration of Super Reflexes/Elude (it was expiring too soon).

Fixed Blaster Assault Rifle powers so their KnockBack effects wont chain in PvP.

Set Fire Blast/Inferno Recharge time to 360 seconds so it is consistent with all other final Blaster powers.

Psychic Blast/Subdue: Increased Damage, Decreased its Recharge and Endurance Cost.

Reduced 'Per Hit' endurance cost on Whirlwind, Repel and Repulsion Field.

Corrected Long Help Description for Propel. It said the Recharge was Long, when it should be Moderate.

Fixed duration of Mind Control/Confuse in PvP. It was lasting shorter than it should have. (PvE unaffected).

Fixed a bug that was making the Disorient effect in Gravity Control/Wormhole unresistable in some cases.

Peacebringer Quantum Flight will now impose a growing Endurance Penalty after 45 seconds of use.

Warshade Nebulous Form will disable after 60 seconds.

Reduced the Slow Debuff on Lingering Radiation. The Defender version had a decimal place error which reduced any targets attack speed to the minimum. Reduced the Controller version slightly and brought the Defender version back in line.

Fixed Text for Hibernate (all versions). It said it would deactivate in 60 seconds when it actually deactivates in 30

Reduced duration of XP Debt protection in Resurrect Powers.

Pool/Leadership/Tactics now also grants resistance to Fear.

Pool/Leaping/Acrobatics had a bug in which for 1/4 of a second it offered no knockback
resistance. This has been corrected.

Reduced recharge time of Rest.

Updated Inspiration Help Text.

Powers - Villains

Fixed Lieutenant run speed (they were slower than minions).

Ruladak's Energy Aura is no longer Auto Hit. This is to make Defensive sets more effective against him.

Changed Summon power of Tuatha Boss so it no longer summons incorrect level pets.

Decreased Recharge time of Police Bot attack.Stores

Fixed Contact stores so that Contacts now sell proper Enhancements. (Doesn't affect all Contact Stores).

Game

Improved game stability.

Disabled stencil shadows (world shadows) on Intel Extreme/ATI 7500 class cards for performance reasons.

Tasks

Fixed bugs with escort NPCs:Fixed bug in some missions where if a hostage is killed, the mission does not end.

Fixed bug that could cause escort NPCs to become hostile and attack players.

Fixed bug that caused escort NPCs to despawn 10 minutes after being freed.

Removed invisible turrets that appeared in some missions.

Badges

Reduced requirement for Believer badge. (now just need to see Sally twice)

Defeating Tyrant will now properly award Statesman's Pal badge.

Last night two of the the NW captains ,FULGOR and MISS TEEN,promoted guard TECH TANK lvl 33 (i mean 34 ) tanker to the range of LIEUTENANT. He deserves it from looooong time ago,but we wait a bit just to be sure that TECH is a good member and best person.So here are the pics of that promotion and how TECH was so grateful that praise to the caps like a dozen times,saying thx thx :P lol

Sorry it's a bit late, but here is a picture of the costume competition organised by Ice Sword of the Shades of Darkness. Only one Night Watcher turned up, tech tank. Come on Guards support these events, there was one million influence up for grabs. Speaking of which, the Shade's White Magik was not online so one of the Night Watch, Miss Teen, had to pay out the prize. All that time fighting crime, and she gets mugged in broad daylight. Ah well.
Btw, many people agreed that that dashing baldy man in the middle in the spiffing black costume was the real winner of the comp. Me, bitter? Never!
Btw again, Night Stalker won, Darksinia was third (she was wearing lingere rather than a superhero costume!) and someone from a coalition SG was second (forgot the name, sorry stat fans).

Miss Teen hits the Big Five Oh!

Woo hoo! After many months of fighting evil, Miss Teen has finally reached the dizzy heights of level 50.
Before I get the to thank yous, I’ll explain these pictures of last night’s events. Firstly, the team assembled on Peregrine Island for the final missions that would get Miss Teen to the highest level among heroes. Pictured are the team members Midnight Star, Swamp Monster, Blackest Night and Fire Hawke on the back row. And the front row is White Magik, Miss Teen, JainaD and Fulgor.
We decided that with such a good team we had to take down some Arch Villains so we headed out to arrest Infernal.
It was not as easy as we originally thought and, after cutting through the demon lords and such quite easily, we were given a rude awakening at the Summoning Altar. We had to face hundreds (maybe and exaggeration) of demons and the sheer number of attacks as you can see in the picture resulted in several faceplants all round. But after a number of attacks we finally smashed the altar, laid waste to the mobs, and won a round of fisticuffs with Infernal. Yay team!
But Miss Teen still needed some more experience to earn her level 50, and the team decided to take on another AV Black Swan! At this point Blackest Night had to leave as, despite his name, he had to get up early in the morning. So Night Watch guard Malachite stepped in to help the team of to victory. We were so great we even took a break to have a dance in front on Black Swan’s castle. A few scraps later and Miss Teen dinged. Yay again team!
When Night Watch captain ARGOT heard his protégée had reached the pinnacle of heroism he arranged a party. As you can see in the picture many Night Watchers as well as members of Shades of Darkness and other coalition groups joined the bash. It was most fun.

I would like to thank ARGOT who recognised some potential in me and invited Miss Teen to join the Night Watch.
Both he and Swamp Monster have been among my greatest influence in City of Heroes, they are both good, knowledgeable players who know how to have fun. My teaming with Swamp Monster brought me into contact with the Shades of Darkness (formerly Death Dancers) who have been my second supergroup with great heroes like Velvet Noir, Midnight Star and White Magik.
I would also like to say thanks to the original Night Watch members who welcomed me into the SG and some of who now take orders from me ;) I remember being level 14 and being invited on a team with ARGOT, Skull Bender, Prime Paladin, Lightnia, Mandate, Gorilla and Twilight Vesper, which showed me some cool things waiting for me in the game as well as showing me what a joy a good team and super group can be. Also thanks to Yak Eater who killed my Tsoo so I could get my cape.
Finally, thanks to people who have made the game fun in recent weeks such as Fulgor, Frost storm, tech tank, Stagefright and many many more.
Not that this is the end; Miss Teen will still be protecting Paragon City for a long time to come, offering help to fellow heroes on their own path to level 50.

Finally, two new heroes are patrolling Paragon City thanks to Miss Teen hitting 50. Warshade Void Vampire has joined the Shades of Darkness and peacebringer Reverse Cowgirl is due to join the Watch :)

FULGOR GOT A NEW HAT!!!!! OMG...

Yes,my comrades. The witch is here and her name is ...FULGOR!!! But..how she turned in such evil ?(she was evil before too,right? or is it?)

It's know that FULGOR,go to Croatoa and do some kind of strange task force with the help of the sg HARDCORE HEROES.

At the end of the Tf,Ful dissapeared in shadows and reapeared as this witch....omg...what evil lurks in those eyes?

Ok. after this ( heheh i like the hat) i gonna explain you how the task force is.

In the first mission you need to kill an AV,like ten times. Don't be scared...it's easy...each time you defeat her and her minions, you get a badge,what should be replaced by another badge when you defeat her again. Remember,ten times.
KK after that two easy misions, and finally the last where you need to rescue a sorceres soul and escort it to the exit.
As award 2 more badges,one is an accolade,and two great prizes
The hat---available in icon only for you in hat section and a pet with 5 usses. The pet is the sorceress you saved and now she helps you. The pet attack and heals.

Ey,True Beliver!!! Yeh it happens. Last night NIGHTWATCH CAPTAINS ARGOT and FULGOR battle each other in the clash of the century!!!
Wanna know who win? eh? eh? well...i must say there was 3 matches....
In the first one,valerous FULGOR (ehehhehe), won the match with a score of 4-1.
Second one was a bit more adjusted but this time ARGOT (OH fearfless leader) beat ful with a total score of 3-1

And after a series of dialog with some accusations of cowarldy (ko ko ko ko and some stuff,,,)ARGOT accepted the tiebreak. :)

And what happened?..well after a hard fight and some laughs...the score was 2-2...

After that,we decide the fight was fair enough and dance for a while to celebrate the tie. YAY!!!!

Hey!!! We got a new coalition.And must say IT'S a good one.THE BLACK DRAGON SOCIETY are now our fellas!!!
SHANNON,their leader,it's a long time friend and my first mentor too,so i'm very very proud of this.
Anyway after the coal. was made..a group of both Sgs(even electro from SOD) go arrest,kill,kick,and beat AV TYRANT,who got prisioned STATESMAN!!!! Could you belive that? hell..well..the fact is was a hard fight but in the end..we win.And not only the battle...a badge too!!!

The irregular Night Watch caption competition

Clash of the Titans

After the Night Shades event Night Watch captain ARGOT faced off against Shades of Darkness commander Swamp Monster.
No points were to be won, this was purely a matter of honour and putting the considerable skills and experience of these two Paragon titans to the test.
Perhaps predictabley the result was a draw, although both heroes enjoyed the gladatorial clash and there are whispers of a rematch!

Night Shade 2005 results

The Night Shade 2005 Arena event took place today with about 14 or so Guards and Shades taking part.
The affair was on the whole enjoyable, if lengthy, and I have learnt a few lessons that would help a future event run more smoothly.
The orginal concept of the battle was to have several one on one battles in which points would be won for wins and draws. Then a final supergroup versus supergroup would take place where each knockout would count as a point. This was to enable it to be a final in the true sense of the word, giving both teams the chance of winning however they had done in the earlier rounds. Of course, this being the Arena, things didn't go that smoothly and it was decided to end the competition with a winner take all battle royale. To make the teams more balances, Miss Teen and Natz fought for the Shades while Electro king lined up with Night Watch. The Shades team won the final with 41 knockouts against Night Watch's 25.
Earlier rounds saw Miss Teen and Swamp Monster draw, tech tank and MeowShade draw, Swamp Monter beat Fulgor, Natz beat Electro king, Swamp Monster beat tech tank, Owl Wing beat Van Der Graff, Warcat beat Cloudburst, Dead Reckoner beat Dark Goddess, tech tank beat Electro king, and the team of Miss Teen, Fire Hawke and Fulgor beat the team of Swamp Monster, MeowShade and Electro king.

Dreck is behind bars where he belongs

When one of my contacts asked me to arrest Dreck I went to it. I had heard that this scoundrel has been offering bribes to many heroes to allow him to stay at large - but I had one aim and that was to put this corrupter of heroes behind bars. Unfortunately none of my Watch comrades were avaialble so I enlisted coalition chums Midnight Star and Bluetrino to bring him in.
With security at the Zig the way it is I have no doubt that this freak will be at large once again but I for one will always be ready to take him down.

Here is the strange group of bees and wasps officially registering themselves as a super group at City Hall in Paragon City ( Defiant server)
In recent days they have shutdown several criminal operations run by the Council, Clockwork, Trolls and Outcasts. However it is still unknown whether their aim is to genuinly fight crime or if they are under some delusion that these organisations are "ants" with plans to steal their precious "honey".

I'm ARGOT, former Captain of The Night Watch, for those who don't know me. For all my old comrades, glad to see you all again, I'm back.

I cannot be more proud of you all, Guards, you've done incredible things, tales of your deeds reached me far away, where I've been in these past few days...

A particular thanks to the three Captains:Miss Teen, who incarnates the justice spirit and our "formal way" of relating to the people we protect (this means "we are cool and polite" :P ) ;Lightnia, she is the representation of our highest moral duty "help people in need at ANY cost" (that's why she's still 36 :P)Fulgor, she minds the other Guards every single second the real motivation of the existence of the Night Watch: we really ENJOY fighting the Crime!

Night Shade 2005 - Bring It On!

The gauntlet has been thrown down - Night Watch have challenged Shades of Darkness to an intense competetive training exercise in the Arena.
At 1pm UK time on Sunday both supergroups should prepare to do battle in the event dubbed Night Shade 2005.
Depending on the number of people, we will do a few individual match ups, weight class team ups, before a deciding supergroup rumble that should shake the Arena to its foundations.The time will be quite flexible so if you are able to drop in later in the afternoon let me know, and there will be opportunity for people to change characters (and in two or three cases sides).

(If sufficient heroes from both sides confirm attendence I will produce a fight card of matches in advance, otherwise we can arrange who fights who etc on the day)

Sometimes I wish I'd chosen the secret identity option when i became a heroe, because life in the public eye doesn't leave much time for me time, especially when I am studying for entrance exams to Paragon U!
Anyway, here I am on a recent morale boosting personal appearance to the troops stationed at Firebase Zulu. I led the squad in some routines from my forthcoming keep fit video and then posed for some publicity shots which I think came out very nice.

Yep. Neuron and Anti-matter Avs were defeated too. Myself and BLACKEST NIGHT,alongside with a group of nicely heroes kick these two Avs butt to hell.

They wasn't expecting an attack so early!!!! :) was funny indeed

YEAH!!! It's true!! We kick countess crey butt and bring him to the nearest paragon police station.
It was a hard mission to a hero alone and only,with the unite power of the NIGHT WATCH, the former countess of the crey fall out!!!

YESTERDAY IN PARAGON...

Well,past afternoon was a lil...loon!!! Iwas worried searching for countess crey Av(wich is still free some place near perez park),and Miss Teen just send me a message via sg chat.."MONTERS ARE DESTROYING PORTAL CORP"...geez that was a think i had to see..so with a bunch of friends go faster than a speeding croc(that's it....more faster than a croc)..and get in Portal corp only to see how a bunch of intrepid heroes face against that monters!!! I joined battle and soon defeated the forces of evil!!! yay!!!

After that, about 3 hours later,another giant monster JURASSIC was doing a trip along crey's folly and a friend of the coalition send a message (thx ratzinger z) asking for some help. Again a group of four spanish heroes,Nw liu. FIRE HAWK and myself come to help defeat that ugly thing!!! and we win again!!! Hurray!!!

And finally, Fire hawke show me her new costume and...omg!! it's nice!!! what do you think,nightwatcher?

Hi all again...still here....working..lol...(i didn't realize how much work this gets).Anyway,the things on our sg are getting better.New members added our files last week and some return from his holidays break...(hey! a hero can have a good rest too,uh? ) so..we're going strong again...Keep doing that way.
